A comprehensive library is attached to the professorship for Art History, Educational Science and Art Teaching Methodology as well as Art Theory. It is a reference library for external visitors and a lending library for students at the academy. It contains almost 50,000 publications in numerous areas of art and approximately 30 professional journals. Lavish historical illustrated books can also be found alongside the most recent exhibition catalogues. The collection is constantly updated to meet the needs of the students and teachers. The library’s special collections are contemporary art and art of the 21st century.
